A CERTIFICATION AT EU LEVEL
With the founding of the European Lighting Expert Association (ELEA) in 2016, an extensive collection of documents was published. These set out the purpose, objectives and structure of the ELEA, the examination content curriculum, the examination and certification process, as well as the independent quality management and code of conduct of all ELEs.
The concept has proven itself and quickly established itself in the four founding countries. By the end of 2019, the threshold of 100 European Lighting Experts has already been exceeded.
Examinations are regularly carried out by the four founding members, so that a further steady growth in the number of registered European Lighting Experts can be expected. The concept is also meeting with great interest in other countries. The Romanian A.R.I., for example, is already a member and is working on implementation in its country. Promising talks are also being held with other countries.
Target groups
For whom is the training, national examination and international registration as an ELE intended? The ELE concept is suitable for all candidates with different education and previous knowledge in the field of light and lighting.
ADVANTAGES OF THE ELE
The title ELE facilitates access to interesting projects and exciting jobs in the lighting industry within Europe. For companies, the employment of European Lighting Experts is an award for a high level of education in the field of light and lighting.
CONTENTS AND PROCEDURE
You can be examined and certified as an ELE for indoor and/or outdoor lighting. The examination is based on the learning objectives set by ELEA, which comprise a total of around 150 individual topics.
CERTIFIcATe
After successfully passing the examination and signing the ELE Code of Conduct, you will be entered into the register of European Lighting Experts. Furthermore, you will receive your certificate, which is valid for a period of five years.
